Wii U demo!

Well, today something amazing and awesome happened! I got to  play the Wii U!!

I know! Isn't this awesome!?!?!?! I was at GameStop, and there it was, in all its Wii U-iness glory! I held the gamepad, and it was quite comfortable, actually. The quality of the screen was really good. I had to play Rayman, which stunk since I'm really interested in Lego City: Undercover, Scribblenauts Unlimited, and Nintendo Land. But it was still pretty darn cool.

Even though I got to play with it, I'm still not really sure if I want it yet. I think it'll all depend on whether or not GameCube games are on the Virtual Console and the menu interface and all that.

Very exciting!

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

YES!! Oh, hello! I didn't see you there. Well, you're probably wondering why I'm so excited. I'll tell ya: it's because I finally beat the first castle of World 3 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii!

I have been stuck on this part for like, three months. No, more! Like, seven or something!!

Anyway, I'm excited. Now I can finally move on!

Yay!

ANGER!!

I"M ANGRY!! YOU WANNA KNOW WHY? STOP YELLING AT ME! I'LL TELL YOU IN  A MINUTE! GOD!

Okay, I'll stop writing like that now. Anyway, I'm mad because I was watching Attack of the Show on G4 like I sometimes do, when I encountered something that angered me.

They reviewed the 3DS XL, and I have the original. I absolutely love it, but they didn't. They were complaining that "the 3D was annoying" and "it doesn't have a second analog stick." Hello?! It's called the Circle Pad Pro! As for the 3D is annoying part...well, not as much as they were saying.

They then went on to say that the picture looked "blown out" and rated it a 3 out of 5.

That may not sound that bad, but then they said that you should get a Vita instead! A FREAKING VITA!! Now, I have some friends that have Vitas, so I've held one, I've seen what it can do. But I still think the 3DS is much better. And apparently, the buyers do as well, seeing as the Vita's sold 2 million units and the 3DS has sold almost 20 million.

::licks finger:: *tsst*

Anyway, I don't mean to ramble. I just love the 3DS.

Although have you seen the pictures it takes?? I might as well just take my glasses off and look at a regular photo! That'd still look better!

Harry Potter and the Licensed Merchandise

Oh, Harry Potter. Everybody loves him. Except Voldemort...

Anyway, I'm here to talk about the Lego Harry Potter games. Yay!

Yes, Lego Harry Potter! An odd combo, but hey, why not?

I have Years 1-4 for X360 and Years 5-7 for 3DS. They both contain awesomeness.

I think that Tt did a fantastic job with this series, and Star Wars too. You get to select lots of different spells to use, like Wingardium Leviosa and Expecto Patronum.  Even though it's a Lego game and therefore is probably aimed at a younger audience, I find it to be quite hard at times. I'm not even embarrassed admitting that!

I think I like Years 5-7 better because it looks better in 3D and I liked those books better.

I've had both of them for over a year now, but I really haven't made a lot of progress in either. I'm only halfway though Chamber of Secrets and only a little bit into Order of the Phoenix.

I can't really tell who that is hugging Ron's leg on the 3DS cover. It'd make sense if it was Hermione, but her hair looks too light. She looks like the girl to the rear left of Harry, but that could be Ginny. Although she appears to be a brunette! I don't know. Maybe it's just the dramatic lighting. Curse you, drama!!

But I digress. Both of these games are fantastic, and is a must-have for all Harry Potter fans. Even if you aren't a fan, play it! Keeping my fingers crossed for a "Lego Harry Potter: The Complete Saga"!

Bye!

The GameCube Dilemma

What up, party people? I've got some super duper pooper mcflooper exciting news!

So you know the Wii U? If you don't, that's it. It's not gonna come out until late November, so not a lot is known about it. I'm thinking about getting it, but first, there is one huge thing that will be a necessity.

That's right, whether or not GameCube games will be on the Virtual console! It will be a crucial decision factor whether or not I can play totally awesome games like TLoZ: The Wind Waker, Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Metroid Prime, Mario Kart, and many more.

But until then, I'm unsure what to do with the GC games I already have to play on my Wii. You know? If I play them, I'm afraid that that'll just be more progress I have to make up later on Wii U! But if they aren't on the VC, then I'm wasting time! Oh, dear, what to do, what to do?

3DS strap

Hello there! Okay, so today I made a discovery. It turns out you can attach a WRIST STRAP to your 3DS!!!!!!! I KNOW!!!!

Obviously, this changes everything. Long gone are the days where I feared dropping my portable console! This is a very important discovery (well, not really a discovery, since it says so in the owner's manual)!

I didn't have a strap for my 3DS, so I just scavenged one from a Wii Remote. Smart, huh?

Anyway, my 3DS has never looked so good. With the strap around my wrist, I am INVINCIBLE!! HAHAHA!! >:D

You might be saying, "Oh dear! I only have a DSi! I wish to attach a wrist strap to my console! Oh, the pain! The pain of it all!"

Well, do not fear! You can also attach a strap to your Game Boy Advance, GBA SP, Game Boy Micro, DS, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL, AND 3DS XL! Hooray!

We love you wrist strap, oh yes we do! We don't love anything as much as you! When you're not near us, we're blue! Oh, wrist strap, we love you!

Thank you, thank you very much! You've been a great audience!

New Super Mario Bros. 2

A couple weeks ago, I got the brand new Mario game for the 3DS, New Super Mario Bros. 2. Yay!

I must admit that I am a little disappointed in it. They really didn't change much from the last installment, NSMB Wii. They added a few powerups, but it isn't all that different. You know, if you've ever played any other game in this series, it's almost exactly the same.

I really like it, though. I'm already in World 2. One thing I do like is seeing the series in 3D for the first time. It helps make the 2.5D effect a lot more prominent.

I think my favorite Mario game for a portable console is Super Mario 3D Land. I hope Nintendo makes a sequel to it at some point.

In conclusion, NSMB2 is really good, but it's too similar to the other games in the series.
